Product introduction
Our products work with Microsoft® Excel® so if you already have Microsoft Excel version 2000 or later installed on your PC,
you can have our applications up and running in seconds.

Although based on Microsoft Excel, our products use the power of Microsoft® Visual Basic® for Applications to provide a point-and-click menu driven interface which you will find intuitive and simple to use.

Macros and your Security
Our Microsoft® Excel® based products use software routines called macros which perform complex functions that could not be achieved using standard Microsoft Excel formulas and, therefore, macros must be enabled for the products to work properly.

Unfortunately, macros are sometimes used to distribute malicious software and, for that reason, Microsoft includes security levels in Microsoft Excel to protect you from unknown programs which could be harmful to your computer system.

Microsoft Excel opens software containing macros according to the level of security which has been set; with Microsoft Excel open, you can select Tools – Macros – Security from the top menu to see your current setting (please note that Microsoft recommend the High setting). The process for opening files will depend upon your security settings, as described below.

Low - Microsoft Excel will load and enable macros automatically.

Medium - Microsoft Excel will warn you that macros from Little Big Solutions Ltd. are contained in the programme and ask you if you wish to enable them. You must choose Enable Macros for the product to function correctly. Please note that you can check the ‘Always trust macros from this source’ tick-box to avoid having to do this every time you open the programme.

High - Microsoft Excel will warn you that macros from Little Big Solutions Ltd. are contained in the programme. You must check the ‘Always trust macros from this source’ tick-box before you are able to click the Enable Macros button.

Very High - From Microsoft Excel 2003 onwards a Very High security setting was added. This is largely intended for corporate users and requires a system administrator to oversee the installation of macros from new sources. If your security is set to Very High you should talk to your system administrator about installing the software.

If, under the medium, high or very high settings, the Microsoft Excel security warning box does not specify that the macros are authored by Little Big Solutions Ltd. you should not enable macros or load the product. In this event we would ask you to e-mail us. All of our contact details can be found on our Company page.
